California Speed — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 June 2026
California Speed (“the app”, “we”) is a card game published by 1nt3rnet.
This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can delete it. The same policy
applies to the iPhone app and the web version at
california-speed.pages.dev.
You can play without an account
You can install and play every solo mode without signing in or giving us any personal
information. Your game records are stored only on your device.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand how many people are playing and which modes are used, the app sends anonymous
gameplay events (a “heartbeat” while you play and a summary when a game ends). These
events contain:
- a random anonymous ID and session ID generated on your device (not linked to your name,
email, or Apple/Google account when you are not signed in);
- the game mode, difficulty, outcome (win/loss), and duration;
- gameplay performance numbers such as cards-per-second and a flow score;
- an approximate country, which our server infers from your network connection at the moment
the request arrives. We do not collect GPS or precise location, and the app
never requests location permission.
This data is anonymous and is used only to measure activity and improve the game. It is not used
to track you across other apps or websites, and it is never sold.
If you choose to sign in
Signing in is optional and is only needed to sync your records across devices and to appear on
the leaderboards with a chosen name. If you sign in we collect:
- your email address (via Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or a one-time email code).
Sign in with Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real one, which
is fine;
- a username you choose, which is shown publicly on leaderboards next to your scores;
- your game statistics and best scores, linked to your account so they follow you between
devices.
Authentication is handled by Supabase (our backend provider) on our behalf. Sign in with Apple
and Sign in with Google are operated by Apple and Google respectively under their own privacy
policies; we receive only the email and a token confirming the sign-in.
Leaderboards
When you submit a score to a leaderboard, your chosen display name and your score (and the date)
are stored and shown publicly on the relevant board. Anonymous scores may be submitted with a name
but no account link.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No third-party analytics, marketing, or tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers.
- No precise location, contacts, photos, or device-identifier collection.
Deleting your data
- Anonymous, no account: your records live only on your device. Deleting the
app removes them.
- Signed in: open the Account screen in the app and choose
“Delete account”. This permanently deletes your profile, your statistics and best
scores, all of your leaderboard score rows, and the anonymous usage events tied to your
account, and it unlinks your Apple or Google sign-in (revoking the associated token where
applicable). This cannot be undone; you can keep playing without an account afterward.
- You can also request deletion by emailing
adam.e.qian@gmail.com.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect personal
information from children, and no personal information is required to play.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated”
date above.
